7191 Signatures Gathered

The team of citzens who are trying to save the ‘over-the-river’ library have collected 7191 signatures. With the recent increase, there’s a good chance that the proposal will have to be acted on by the city council.
Oddly enough, there’s been rumors that the City of Renton has asked King County Elections to speed up the process and limit the time that the public has to gather signatures. In speaking with memeber of King County Elections, the typical grace period is about two weeks, but indications are that the city is trying to limit it to two days. Again, this is only a rumor, so remain calm and indoors. More info at http://rentonlibrary.com/ .
